"The Sower" is a resin ball-jointed-doll designed and 3d printed by myself. I imagine her as a self-possessed woman, composed with the courage needed to endure a crisis, just like the characters borne from Octavia's imagination, and countless black women we encounter everyday. Her clothing is composed of ombre silk that I texturized to evoke the spirituality of ancient dress. The saturated colors represent blooming flowers.
